A New Beginning

Maybe a late bloomer?  I am on FB and I pin to pinterest...BUT, this is the first blog of my WEB life.  Blogging is a day in the life of...right?

So...here goes, a little about me which you may (or may not) want to know.  I am older than I like, fatter than I like and happier than I deserve to be.  I enjoy collecting printables, surfing for design ideas, and crafting for happiness (mine and others).

I am in the process of offering my designs and creations through Etsy.  It is a new forum for me and my humble business, Graphitti Creations.  Throughout the past seven years, Graphitti Creations has moved from a business using real photos to using a full-color process to create beautiful items out of photos and designs.
These include:
  • trophies of all kinds (the tall and the small), plaques, medals, and other awards
  • personalized items such as wine boxes, mugs, license plates, mouse pads and more
  • event decorations, favors & designs
  • and apparel - both heat transfer & full-color sublimation
We use materials such as:
  • aluminum, porcelain, FR-plastic,
  • paper, vinyl,
  • ribbon, felt, tulle, satin & other woven materials
  • florals, vintage finds & furnishing,
  • and lots of ATG.
Our workshops (yes, (s)) include a floor for various trophy, plaque and medal creations and a floor devoted to the art of handicrafts.  It was recently called a Hobby Hut by a gentleman who had come to help his sister with a scrapbook that I created for her and she was writing in.  I am very lucky to have many fun machines to use on both floors, and much technology to create with.

Over the past several years, I have lent my hand to various events and celebrations in many ways.
  • I have designed and we have built winning floats for the largest Fireman's Parade in PA for over 10 years.
  • I have been an event planner for five weddings, several banquets, numerous bridal & baby showers,  graduation parties, and other life events.
  • We have thrown/hosted several theme events,
  • and created or chaired charity events from small to massive (our last grand adventure ran six days and enjoyed over 14,000 attendees).

2012 is a turning point year for me.
My beautiful daughter is in her second semester as a freshman in college. ERGO:
  • No more teacher gifts, holiday celebration favors, girl scout projects, parties for swim teams, or the chorus.
  • There is an empty nest that needs something to feather.
So, I am going to offer "feathers" for others.  Others who may need inspiration, special effects, a bit of delight...Welcome to Celebration Creations. I hope my journey, my finds, my inspirations and my works bring you a smile!
